Veronica Angeloni Confirms Return To Indonesia On Instagram

Experienced Italian opposite hitter Veronica Angeloni has announced in her Instagram page that she is leaving French Club Saint-Raphael to return to Indonesia to play for Gresik Petrokimia, the same club she already played for a season ago. Here is her announcement:

I waited until the last moment. Guys, we’re official! Tomorrow I will get on a plane to reach my Indonesian team GRESIK PETROKIMIA! What pushes me? Passion! Of course there is also a lot of curiosity, love for travel, different cultures, love for my sport; The desire to show everyone (above all to myself) that I can do it alone, far from the world, far from my affections; The need to demonstrate that working at the world of entertainment does not mean to feel accomplished, let alone let that get to your head! (Note: Angelica partipated in the Italian version of Big Brother last year)

Greet with a smile all those who did not believe it and those who continue to do so. Change your mind if you judge people on appearance. Demonstrate to many you can be a woman but have courage to get on a blessed flight and leave it all behind!

The important thing is to always get involved! In any field, for any adventure, we are the best of ourselves, we face the difficulties, let’s meet it with smile and the certainty that it will make us stronger!

The 6’2″ 31-year-old Angeloni is leaving Saint-Raphael after winning a French Championship and a French Supercup. Prior to this, she had amassed a lot of volleyball experience, having played in no fewer than 16 professional clubs, including most of Italy’s top squads like Novara and Piacenza. Although a staple in most of Italy’s youth national teams, she was never called on by the senior squad.
