After a week of sweeps, NJIT’s Jabarry Goodridge earns VolleyMob’s Player of the Week honors – posting 35 kills in a total of six sets.

NJIT started their week against Coker, easily making their way through them led by Goodridge’s 15 kills, two aces, three blocks and five digs. Goodridge hit for .480 on 25 swings with three errors. In the match, Goodridge also led the team in total points scored with 19.

Goodridge took charge against Princeton, the team’s second match of the week, being a crucial part of the teams three set sweep and upset over the EIVA co-leaders. In the match, Goodridge slammed down 20 kills on a .533 hitting percentage, also adding four aces. This is the sixth time this season that Goodridge has scored over 20 points in a match, and the first time he’s done so in a three-setter.

With his impressive week, Goodridge now ranks second nationally in points per set with 5.15, also ranking ninth in aces per set with 0.47.

Goodridge has had an outstanding career with NJIT, earning EIVA second team all-conference his sophomore season and first team honors in his junior year. During his junior campaign, Goodridge was selected as an AVCA Division I-II National Player of the Week, only the second player to earn the honor for NJIT and the first since they moved to Division I.
