It’s an all-European final at the 2017 FIVB Men’s Club World Championships featuring Italy’s Cucine Lube Civitanova and Russia’s Zenit Kazan.
Both teams are undefeated coming into the finals with Lube having the more difficult route to the finals but made easy work of the reigning champions, Sada Cruzeiro, on day one by sweeping them. Lube, on the other hand, has yet to drop a set in the competition having an easy route to the finals.
Cucine Lube has been led by Tsvetan Sokolov thus far as he has put down 78 points in four matches while Osmany Juantorena has added another 63. For Zenit Kazan, Wilfredo Leon has led the team with 62 points in just 12 sets while Maxim Mikhaylov has recorded another 57.
The winner of the match will take the title of the competition with Zenit Kazan finally able to finish the tournament with a win as they have made their third straight finals but have fallen short in each.
