2017 WORLD GRAND CHAMPIONS CUP

Both Japan and Brazil are coming off losses on their second day at the 2017 FIVB Women’s World Grand Champions Cup. Japan lost to Russia in four, while Brazil is coming off a tough five-set loss to China after having two match points to take the game away.

Risa Shinnabe is the Japanese leader in scoring with 29 points on 22 kills, three blocks and four aces. Japan will have to come out strong against the tough Brazilian crew who are the reigning champions of the event and recently just won the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix.

For Brazil, a number of players have been putting up huge numbers at the competition with Tandara Caixeta leading the way with 51 points on 41 kills, six blocks and four aces while Gabriela Braga Guimaraes has added another 32.
