The 2017 USA Volleyball Cup, a pair of matches between the United States and Brazil, kicks off in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on Friday evening.

As teams are warming up, long-injured Aaron Russell is on the court with Team USA. American head coach John Speraw has more options than he did at the World League – where the Americans finished 4th without most of their Olympic stars.
Earlier this year, the USA played two games in Brazil, where they were swept away by the Brazilians 3-0 and 3-2 – including a 24-11 set.
