Although the 2017 FIVB World Tour is only seven events into the 19-event slate, big news is out regarding the 2018 Tour.

The tour will begin October 11-15, 2017, in Qinzhou, China with a three-star men’s and women’s event. Next on the slate will be a three-star women’s event in Phuket, Thailand.

The 2017 Tour began in February and continues through August. Last year, the tour slate lasted from October 2015 through September 2016.

The 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour marks the first under the next 1-Star to 5-Star classification system. The slate includes three Five-Star events, three Four-Star events, six Three-Star events, four Two-Star events, and seven One-Star events, along with the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, the Swatch FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Finals, and one FIVB Age Group World Championships.

Next up on the FIVB Tour is a stop in Xiamen, China, today through Sunday. The men’s and women’s combined event features men’s teams from 27 countries and women’s teams from 25 nations.
