WKU Coach Travis Hudson Recovering After Widow Maker Heart Attack

Western Kentucky head coach Travis Hudson let fans, friends and the volleyball community shared on twitter this morning that he had suffered a “widow maker” heart attack over the weekend, but was recovering. Hudson also thanked all who have reached out with thoughts, prayers and messages.

#6 Cal Poly Edges #5 LBSU; 49ers Rebound in Big West Challenge Split

The final day of the Big West Challenge in Sacramento, California, brought mixed results for No. 5 Long Beach State as the 49ers were bested by No. 6 Cal Poly, but rebounded in the tournament finale with a 5-0 win over host Sacramento State.

Tulane, FIU, Grand Canyon Notch Beach Upsets on Saturday

In 29 matches involving AVCA Top 20 teams, there were three upsets on Saturday. Tulane edged past No. 12 Florida International 3-2. FIU rebounded with a 3-2 win over No. 9 Georgia State. No. 11 Grand Canyon also bested the ninth-ranked Panthers.

Michigan Names 3 Seniors as Captains for 2018 Women’s Volleyball
