U.S. Women’s National Team setter Lauren Carlini was the first to jump, signing with adidas in July after an announcement that the brand would be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accesory brand for USA Volleyball.

USA Volleyball’s contract with Mizuno expires Dec. 31, 2016, but the fruits of the new partnership with adidas were on full display today as the brand’s Stars Rep Stripes campaign launched.

The new Spring-Summer 2018 apparel, including shirts, jackets and workout leggings is available on adidas.com and through the USAVolleyballShop. Prices range from $25 for a logoed T-shirt to $100 for a logoed jacket.

Middle blocker Paige Tapp is featured in the cover ad for the collection.

“I am extremely excited to join the adidas family,” Tapp said in the joint announcement by USA Volleyball and adidas. “It is an honor to be surrounded by an inspiring team that encourages individuality and creativity. The company’s culture and constant innovation fully support my lifestyle and my passion for sports. We are here to create and adidas supports us as we continue to grow, create, and refine ourselves into the best athletes we can be.”

Tapp was one of 16 USA Volleyball athletes to sign endorsement deals with the company alongside outside hitters Jordan Larson, Kim Hill and Sarah Wilhite, setter Carli Lloyd, middle blocker Tori Dixon and Hannah Tapp and opposite Kelly Murphy of the U.S. Women’s National Team and Katie Holloway from the U.S. Women’s Sitting Volleyball Team.

“Being a part of the adidas family during this time in the growth of USA Volleyball is exciting,” Holloway, an outside hitter, said. “I can’t wait to partner with adidas on the #RoadtoTokyo in the hopes of winning another gold with the U.S. Women’s Sitting Team as well as growing the Sitting game.”

Carlini also was included in the adidas announcment.

“I am so excited to be a part of #teamadidas,” Carlini said. “I am honored to be on a team with so many inspiring athletes at the top of their game. As a creator, I love finding new and innovative ways to help expand both the sport and brand that I love. I am proud to call myself a member of the adidas family and look forward to growing alongside our brand!”

On the men’s side, outside hitters Thomas Jaeschke and Taylor Sander, middle blockers David Smith, max Holt and dan McDonnell, opposite Ben Patch and libero Dustin Watten joined the adidas family.

“Family reunions are some of my favorite memories growing up because you get to see people you love and care about and talk about the moments that matter most in the time you’ve spent apart. To me that’s what joining the adidas family has felt like,” said Patch who left BYU a year early and signed a pro contract with Vibo Valenti in July. “adidas is all about loyalty. Not only to its customers but also their athletes. Joining this new family, I only feel inspired by their passion and love of athletic innovation and sense of authentic street style to keep creating as an athlete. adidas allows you to be a real part of the family. Being a member of the USA Men’s National Volleyball Team, I can only feel liberated to explore myself and the game I love with a family like adidas having my back. adidas and especially adidas Volleyball are moving into the future with the minds and creativity to change the sport of volleyball forever. I’m stoked to be part of this movement and continue to earn my stripes daily.”

As part of their signings, the group will “be included in upcoming brand marketing campaigns and will collaborate on future volleyball sneakers, equipment and accessories.” according to USA Volleyball.
