Onico Warszawa has announced in its official website that Argentinian national teamer Bruno Romanutti is the team’s newest roster addition. The 29-year-old 6’4 outside hitter will have his second stint in PlusLiga, after playing for Kielce in the 2013/14 season, and spending the whole of his domestic career in Argentina.

Here are his first words as a member of his new club:

“I am very pleased that in the upcoming season I will be performing in ONICO Warszawa. I am coming back to Poland after four years and I am very happy about this. PlusLiga is not only a league of  very high level of volleyball, but also a league of amazing fans. I can not wait for the beginning of the season.”

At Onico, Bruno will find a team that underachieved last season, despite having a recent 20-10 record. However, due to its so many 3-2 wins, the team ended up in 7th place, out of playoff contention, while 4th place Rzeszow had a 19-11 record. He will likely have to contend for a rotation spot in his new team against Rafael Araujo and Sharon Vernon-Evans.
