With one season left of eligibility, outside hitter BreElle Bailey, says goodbye to Arizona State and hello to NC State Wolfpack along with her former coach, Linda Hampton-Keith.
Head Coach, Linda Hampton-Keith, is former Arizona State coach of five years was announced as the new head coach of NC State on December 23, 2016. NC State went 13-7 in this past season leaving the Wolfpack ranked 7th in the ACC overall.
“She not only has the physical attributes and experience to make an immediate impact in this conference,” says Hampton-Keith. “But also noteworthy is her work ethic, her commitment to growth and becoming the best player she can be. ”
Coach Hampton-Keith says Bailey is a “force to be reckoned with” on the court and will make a great impact on her new team.
The last name Bailey fits like home at NC State because Bailey’s dad is the Wolfpack basketball legend Thurl Bailey, a member of the 1983 National Championship Team.
At Arizona State, Bailey was a 2015 PAC 12 All-Conference Honorable Mention finishing the season with 288 kills, the second most on her team. The 6’4” outside hitter played in all 32 matches for the Sun Devil’s producing the third-most points and blocks on her team and reached her season-high of 18 kills in one match. Bailey is also a two-time Pac 12 All-Academic Honorable Mention honoree and Dean’s List honoree for 2015 and 2014 seasons.
