There were three repeat champions as the Georgia State high school volleyball titles were awarded on Saturday at Marietta High School and Holy Inncoents.
Repeat winners included Calvary Day (1A), Harrison (6A) and Walton (7A). All three won via sweep.
Defending champions Buford (5A) lost in five sets to McIntosh, Blessed Trinity (4A) was swept by Marist and Westminster (3A) fell in five to Pace Academy, and St. Vincent’s (2A) were best 3-0 by Coosa.

In 7A action, Walton did not drop a set en route to its third straight title, besting No. 8 seed South Forsyth, No. 4 seed Mill Creek and No. 2 Etowah.
In 6A action, Harrison topped No. 8 seed Effingham County via sweep, topped No. 4 Pope in four and clinched their second straight title with the sweep of Alpharetta.
In 5A action, No. 2 McIntosh bested No. 7 seed Chamblee and No. 3 Starrs Mill via sweeps and edged defending champ and No. 1 seed in five.
In 4A action, No. 1 seed Marist cruised to the title, topping No. 8 Richmond Academy, No. 4 St. Pius and defending champs No. 2 Blessed Trinity all via sweep.
In 3A action, No. 3 Pace Academy grabbed the title with a sweep of sixth seeded Jackson County, a 3-1 win over No. 2 North Hall and a five-setter over No. 4 seed Westminster.
No. 2 seeded Coosa brought home the 2A title with sweeps of No. 7 Jordan, No. 3 Armuchee, and No. 1 St. Vincent’s.
No. 2 seed Calvary Day defended its 1A championship with sweeps of No. 7 St. Francis, No. 6 Sav. Ctry. Day and top seeded Mt. Paran.
