Filipino outside hitter and Cargo Movers captain Cha Cruz not only gained a husband, but also an increased purpose with her Feb. 28 wedding to pilot Ray Behag.

The pair were married in the midst of the Filipino conference season and Cruz was back on the court just three days later with her husband’s blessing.

“I’m so happy that my husband is very supportive,” she told SPIN.ph. “He know that I am enjoying my job and I’m enjoying what I do.”

It was a team affair as well as several of Cruz’s former and current teammates were in attendance. Ramil de Jesus, her former University and current club coach, also witnessed the nuptials.

Known as “Miss Everything” for her ability to play every position on the court, including setter and libero, appropriately Cruz calls her new husband, Behag, her “Mr. Everything.”

“I prayed for him a long time ago, he is my Mr. Everything” she told SPIN.ph.

Cruz played for the De LaSalle University Lady Spikers from 2005 to 2012, before leaving the sport to earn a graduate degree and teaching position.

Two years later, she began her pro career with the AirAsia Flying Spikers in the Philippine’s Super Liga. After short stints with four other teams, Cruz joined up with her current side, F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in 2016, and now acts as team captain.

With Cargo Movers, the new Mrs. has earned gold medals in the 2016 PSL All-Filipino Conference and 2017 PSL Grand Prix Conference races.
