FIVB MEN’S CLUB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

DAY FIVE

Sada Cruziero over Bolivar 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-19)

Despite dropping the first set to Bolivar, Sada Cruziero came back to dominate the semifinals match (21-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-19).

Cruziero’s Robertlandy Simon was the leader of the entire match, with 16 points, 11 kills, 3 blocks and 2 serves.

Thomas Edgar led Bolivar with 13 points and 10 kills.

  • Sada Cruziero will face off with Zenit Kazan again for the World Championship title on Sunday.

Zenit Kazan out-serves Trentino in 3-0 win (25-18, 25-23, 25-18)

Zenit Kazan handedly swept Trentino in 3 (25-18, 25-23, 25-18) to earn a place in the Championship match. Kazan outserved Trentino 5-1 in the 3-set victory in Day 5 of the tournament.

Matt Anderson led Kazan with 15 points, 13 kill and 2 blocks in the semifinal matchup.

Tine Urnaut headed Trentino with 12 points and 12 kills.

Trentino sweeps UPCN 3-0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-23)

Trentino came away with a win in the semifinals match against UPCN in just 3 sets (26-24, 25-19, 25-23).

Tine Urnaut again led Trentino with 10 points and 10 kills. UPCN was led by Nikolay Uchikov with 13 points, 9 kills, 2 blocks and 2 serves.

Trentino and Bolivar will battle it out for the bronze medal tomorrow, the final day of the World Championships.
