Italian national teamer middle blocker Enrico Diamantini is returning to the club where he started his journey as a volleyball player, Lube Civitanova. The team announced in its official website a three-year agreement with the 25-year old, who last year represented Bunge Ravenna. Diamantini, who is a product of Lube’s youth teams, also had stints with Padua, Valentia, and a few A2 teams in the past as well.

Here is how the player reacted:

“For me it is a return to the team where I grew up. I am very happy to wear this jersey again, this time with the adult team. For sure there will be many stimuli in the new season, arriving in a great club full of champions, playing for Lube is a wonderful opportunity to grow. I hope to give a hand to this group thanks to the experience I have accumulated so far, after winning the Challenge Cup I will be able to debut in the Champions League and it will be a great emotion.”

Diamantini will be replacing standout Davide Candellaro, who left Lube after two seasons to join Diatec Trentino.
