Italy’s Vibo Valentia has announced in its official website the signing of Argentinian youngster Tomas Lopez to its roster. The 24-year-old outside hitter is set to undertake his first professional season outside of his home-country and is coming out of a excellent VNL run with his national team, a tournament in which he finished as the fourth best receiver.
Here are his first words as a member of Vibo:

The SuperLega Championship is the most difficult and strong in the world and it will be nice to measure myself in this new fascinating reality. I have heard good things about the team, the staff and the environment and I can not wait to start this new journey. In these years, I worked hard to achieve important goals, as was to get to the national team where I recently had the opportunity to play in the Volleyball Nations League.”
Tomas is an excellent all around player, displaying solid skills in all of the sport’s fundamentals. He’ll greatly help a Vibo team that really under-performed last season with an abysmal 4-22 record.
