China continued its surprising woes in the Asian Games. The number 20 team in the world, which lost its opening match to #79 Vietnam, needed a huge  miracle to come back from behind 2-0, including a 31-29 victory in the third set, to beat #41 Thailand an avoid getting into a huge 0-2 hole. Japan’s (#12) effort against Kazakhstan (45%) wasn’t much better, as the team also need 5 sets to beat its overachieving opponent.
