The UAAP Season 80 women’s tournament is still in full swing, with La Salle University’s Kim Dy picking up another UAAP Player of the Week honor. Dy earned the honor just a few weeks back after her team took down Ateneo Lady Eagles.

This week, Dy helped the team two a pair of victories over the University of the Philippines and Far Eastern University. Against the University of the Philippines, Dy posted 14 points with 5 being aces and 4 blocks. Then she turned around and recorded 18 points in a five-set win over Far Eastern University.

Overall, Dy is not the most flashy player on the court when it comes to scoring as she is generally on the lower end of some of the more consistently high scorers. Players like Cherry Rondina, Jaja Santiago and Diana Carlos are putting up an average of 18 points per match while Rondina is sitting at 21.2 points per match. Dy, however, is a consistent presence on the court and able to bring her team back from the depths of a game to win.

After her 32 point week, Dy moves from 11th on the scoring list to 6th, surpassing a number of top scorers in the league.
