Loyola Marymount outside hitter Savannah Slattery grabbed her first West Coast Conference Player of the Week honor on Monday after leading the Lions to sweeps of Long Beach State and San Diego State over the weekend.

Slattery averaged 4.00 kills per set, while hitting at a .302 clip and adding 2.67 digs per set. The sophomore also chipped in four blocks and an ace in the wins.

The Malibu, Calif., native fell just one dig short of a double double against LBSU, notching 12 kills and nine digs. She followed with a team-best 12 kills and seven digs against SDSU.

This is the first weekly honor for Slattery, who was a 2016 All-WCC Freshman Team honoree.
