Megan Fair transfers to University of Tennessee at Martin for 2017

University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawks gain a Catawba Valley Community College Redhawk announces head coach, Jaclynn Yocum, for the upcoming 2017 volleyball season. The Skyhawks will also add two more transfers and three more new incoming freshman to complete the roster.

Megan Fair, a junior 6’0 outside hitter, is transferring from Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, North Carolina to University of Tennessee at Martin. Fair is a NJCAA All-American, two-time Region X Player of the Year, and 2016 Final Four player in the NJCAA Tournament, for the first time in Catawba Valley CC history, will join the Skyhawks in 2017.

Head Coach Yocum is ready to get Fair in the gym and is a strong six-rotation outside with a strong demeanor and a high volleyball IQ.

Fair led the Catawba Valley CC Redhawks with 507 kills with a .290 hitting percentage, 46 aces, 421 digs and 45 blocks with 26 matches where she stacked up double-digit kills in 2016. Fair dominated offensively and defensively with season high 19 digs in two different games and as a freshman calculated 579 kills more than twice as many as any other player on the team at that season.
