Fitterer was a three-time honorable mention AVCA All-North Region selection (2014-16) for the Spartans. In 2016, she led the team with a .361 hitting percentage, ranking sixth in the Big Ten and 45th nationally. She also added 2.06 kills and 0.75 blocks per set. The two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection managed 2.49 kill, 0.95 digs and 0.82 blocks per set in 2015, while hitting at a .301 clip. As a sophomore in 2014, she led Michigan State with a .27 hitting effort, while contributing 2.73 kills an 0.89 blocks per set.

The Georgetown, Ontario native was a member of four straight NCAA Tournament teams, including a Sweet 16 berth in 2013.

Fitterer follows the lead of fellow Spartan graduate outside hitter Chloe Reinig, who announced last month that she will be playing beach volleyball at Loyola Marymount.
