Dayton senior Lauren Bruns was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, while Fordham junior Elise Benjamin and La Salle senior Jensen Sharrits were named Co-Defensive Players of the Week. George Mason freshman Peyton Ehmke was selected as the league’s Rookie of the Week.
May, Marin, DeWalt Garner Sun Belt Week 5 Accolades
Arkansas State’s Carlisa May was tabbed as the Sun Belt’s Offensive Player of the Week, while Little Rock’s Veronica Marin earned defensive honors and Texas State’s Emily DeWalt was tabbed as setter and rookie of the week.
UCSB’s Lindsey Ruddins Earns 6th Big West Player of the Week Honor
UCSB’s Lindsey Ruddins became just the 14th player in Big West history with six or more Player of the Week honors. The Gauchos’ Emilia Petrachi was honored as Defensive Player of the Week, while UC Irvine outside hitter Abby Marjama was named Rookie of the Week.

BYU, Stanford and Nebraska held pat in the top three positions, while Texas edged up to No. 4 from No. 5. Wisconsin moved into the Top 5 to replace Penn State who dropped to No. 9 with two Big Ten opening losses. Colorado and Arizona jumped into the Top 25.

The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly volleyball honors for the week ending on September 23, giving Cincinnati’s Jordan Thompson her fourth straight Offensive Player of the Week nod and tabbing Wichita State’s Giorgia Civita for defense.
