2017 FIVB BEACH VOLLEYBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS – VIENNA

With a 2-1, (21-17, 23-21, 18-16) win over the USA’s Taylor Crabb and Jake Gibb, Poland’s Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak top Pool G. Despite a large number of errors committed by the Poles they were able to put down more kills and serves that helped them to defeat the Americans.

Both players from Poland served the ball evenly to both Americans as well as their attacks. The different shots hit helped them to mess up the American’s defense, though proved to be a risky tactic because of the number of mistakes they made.

On the flip side, the Americans were more accurate in their serves and attacks, but they did not make enough risks to trip up the Poles.

Like most of the matches that occurred today, they were battling against the wind, which made serving and passing a difficult task in the match. The two teams played against each other in Porec with the same weather conditions but the result was the opposite way around.

Both teams are heading to the Round of 32 as they placed #1 and #2 in the pool.
