King of the Court Crown Series – Waikiki

The first King of the Court double gender event saw the titles go to American pairs on both sides.
Emily Stockman/Kelley Larsen were crowned on the women’s side, while Taylor Crabb/Jake Gibb earned the men’s title in their third attempt.

The second place finish was the second for Mol/Sorum following the runnerup effort in Antwerp, Belgium on Sept. 8.
The next stop on the King of the Court Crown Series is Huntington Beach, California, on Sept. 22.
In the group phase, Humana-Paredes/Pavan, Joy Stubbe/Marleen Van Iersel of the Netherlands and Summer Ross/Sara Hughes (USA) moved on in Pool A. Brazilians Agatha Bednarczuk/Eduarda ‘Duda’ Santos Lisboa, Dutch duo Madelein Meppelink/Sanne Keizer and Americans Terese Cannon/Sarah Sponcil moved through Pool B. Pool C sent Stockman/Larsen, Day/Flint and fellow Americans Brittany Hochevar/Kelly Claes through to semifinals alongside Canada’s Heather Bansley/Brandie Wilkerson.
Once in the semifinals, Pavan/Humana-Paredes and Stockman/Larsen advanced through the first group. Agatha/Duda, Day/Flint and Cannon/Sponcil moved on to the finals as well.

In Pool A, Americans Phil Dalhausser/Nick Lucena, Brazilians Harley/Ricardo, Dutch pair Christian Varenhorst/Jasper Bouter and Mol/Sorum made it through. Pool B’s three representatives were Alexander Brouwer/Robert Meeuwsen from the Netherlands, Saymon Barbosa/Guto Carvalhaes of Brazil, Crabb/Gibb and Rosenthal/Budinger. In Pool C, Americans Casey Patterson/Stafford Slick, Spain’s Pablo Herrera/Adrian Gavira and Latvia’s Aleksandrs Samoilovs/Martins Plavins went on to the semifinals.
Mol/Sorum, Grabb/Gibb and Rosenthal/Budinger came through the first semifinal, while Brouwer/Meeuwsen and Patterson/Slick made it through the second.
