#7 Wisconsin and #23 Purdue both took care of business at home on Sunday with wins over #25 Iowa and Ohio State. Maryland went on the road to Indiana and swept the Hoosiers.
No. 14 Michigan and Michigan State each picked up five-set road wins, while No. 3 Minnesota and No. 5 Wisconsin successfully defended their home courts in sweeps.

Ohio State earned the upset in 4 sets over 4th-ranked Penn State, while 8th-ranked Illinois fended off a feisty Indiana volleyball program in 5 sets to remain undefeated on the season. 5th-ranked Nebraska and 19th-ranked Michigan downed Michigan State and Iowa, 3-1, respectively to round out Big Ten opening week.
The Big Ten could make a case for being the best league in the nation with a strong 83 percent winning percentage (127-26), seven teams among the VolleyMob Top 25 and three undefeated teams, but the conference is still largely untested.
All 14 Big Ten programs are in action this weekend with Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin playing at home.
