The Dayton volleyball team defeated VCU 3-2 Sunday afternoon in the finals of the Atlantic 10 Championship to claim their A-10 record 12th tournament title, and the program’s fourth in the last five years.
Dayton seniors Lauren Bruns and Margo Wolf and freshman Alli Papesh, La Salle junior Katie Wood and head coach Caitlin Schweihofer earned the Atlantic 10 Conference’s top volleyball awards.
George Mason junior Bailey Williams and VCU junior Vicky Giommarini were named the Atlantic 10 Conference Volleyball Co-Players of the Week, while George Masonjunior Catie Espinoza was named Defensive Player of the Week.
