Top Seven Remains the Same in AVCA Top 25, Penn State Still No. 1

The top seven in AVCA Coaches Poll remained in tact for the third straight week, with No. 1 Penn State holding down the top spot.

Stanford, Texas, Florida and Minnesota rounded out the top five, followed by Kentucky and Nebraska.

Only four of the other 18 teams held their positions: No. 20 Colorado State, No. 21 Wichita State, No. 23 Cal Poly and No. 24 Baylor.

The biggest upward moves came as San Diego climbed five spots from 18 to 13 with a win over then No. 8 BYU; Iowa State jumped three places to 19 with a win over then No. 11 Kansas; and Washington went from 14 to 11 with Top 20 wins over then No. 19 USC and No. 13 UCLA.

The largest drops came as UCLA plummeted five spots to No. 18, Purdue fell five spots to 22 after losing to unranked Maryland and Utah dropped three places from 12 to 15 with losses to Oregon and Oregon State.

New to the poll on Week 11 is Western Kentucky, who checks in at No. 25 with a 25-2 record. The Lady Toppers took the spot vacated by Northern Iowa, who lost to unranked Illinois State.
