Trinity Western, Alberta Lead U Sports Week 9 Rankings

The U Sports top 10 rankings for week 9 have been revealed and currently Trinity Western University leads in the men’s rankings with a 15-1 record, and Alberta leads the women’s rankings with a 14-0 record.

Currently the McMaster men (9-0), the Alberta women (14-0), and the Toronto women (9-0) are the only teams that are undefeated at this point in the season. Both Toronto and McMaster don’t lead the U Sports rankings due to their point totals being smaller due to a lack of games played.

CANADA WEST

The Canada West conference is by far the strongest in U Sports. Featuring Trinity Western, Manitoba, Alberta, UBC, and many other top schools, it’s a powerhouse conference.

OUA

The OUA is arguably the second strongest conference. With teams like the McMaster men and the Toronto women, they have the skill to go all the way this season. Add in a few other teams who are in, or siting near the top 10, and it demonstrates some decent depth.

RSEQ

The RSEQ currently has two teams sitting in the top 10 men’s rankings and one in the women’s top 10.

  • Laval (14)

AUS

The AUS division is arguably the weakest division. The Dalhousie women appear to be the best team coming out of the conference.
