All of the top 10 rankings for U Sports from the 2016 half of the 2016/17 season have listed Trinity Western University first on the men’s side with 10 wins and zero losses.
The school from out West leads the charge as McMaster ranks second overall according to the latest rankings recorded during week 6: November 30 – December 6, 2016.
Trinity Western suffered a loss to Saskatchewan this past weekend on Saturday in three straight sets after defeating them on Friday, which will effect their perfect record for the next rankings.

Although some teams didn’t compete over the break, over the last few weeks many of the top Canadian schools have been across the border to compete against top NCAA schools.
The McMaster men were able to defeat the number one ranked Ohio State, although they suffered some losses while competing out West.
As for the women, it’s a similar scenario. Only two teams are undefeated: the University of Alberta (10-0) and the University of Toronto (7-0). They lead the rankings in first and second. Trinity Western is third overall with a 9-1 record.

With the new semester starting, most teams will be back in action shortly before they gear up for conference championships in March.
The Trinity Western me will be facing Thompson Rivers on both Friday and Saturday this upcoming weekend. McMaster will face Guelph on the 14th.
As for the women, Alberta will play their next game on January 20th against the University of Saskatchewan. Toronto will play Lakehead University on the 14th as they look to add to their 7-game win streak.
