Webber International Wins Small College Beach National Championship

Webber International (Babson Park, Florida) won the Rox Small College National Championship, defeating defending champions Eckerd College (St. Petersburg, Florida) at the Fiesta on Siesta Invitational on Siesta Key, Florida, last weekend.

Webber won the title match 3-2, taking pairs one, two and three. Eckerd (14-8) won the No. 4 and No. 5 draws.

The Rox Small College National Championship included nine teams from across the country in Division II, Division III and NAIA. The field was made up of:

Eckerd College (Division II; St. Petersburg, Florida)

Huntingdon College (Division III; Montgomery, Alabama)

Missouri Baptist (NAIA; St. Louis, Missouri)

Principia College (Division III; Elash, Illinois)

Spring Hill College (Division II; Mobile, Alabama)

St. Thomas University (NAIA; Miami Gardens, Florida)

Stevenson (Division III; Owings Mill, Maryland)

Warner University (NAIA; Lake Wales, Florida)

Webber International (NAIA, Babson Park, Florida)
