2017 Women’s Club World Championship Tickets Go on Sale

As of March 31, 2017 the ticketing for the FIVB Women’s Club Volleyball World Championship in Kobe, Japan from May 9-14th is officially open for overseas fans.

The Women’s Club World Championship consists of 8  club teams from around the world that must qualify to be a participant. The host team, Hisamitsu Springs, automatically gets a bid.

Other qualified teams include the Asian Champions NEC Red Rockets of Kawaskai and the South American Champions Rexona Sesc Rio de Janerio. The European Champions are scheduled to play on April 23, 2017 after the Champions League in Treviso.

Four Wild Cards have been handed out, bringing the number of invited teams so far to 7. Teams Volei Nestle Osasco, Volero Zurich, Eczacibasi ,and VakifBank have already been granted Wild Cards spots, with 1 more team to be named after the completion of the European Champions League. The winner of the European Champions League receives an automatic bid. VakifBank and Eczacibasi have advanced to the final four; if one of those teams win (they play in the semi-finals), then another wild card spot will be opened. If final four hosts Imoco Volley Conegliano or Dinamo Moscow wins, then that team will also be invited to the Club World Championships.
