In 31 matches of the NIVC Tournament, there were several standout performances. In the end, Ole Miss claimed the title over Texas Tech on Tuesday.
While the NIVC named its own all-tournament team, VolleyMob wanted to make sure no performances were missed and has assembled our own NIVC Dream Team including two outside hitters, an opposite, two middle blockers, a setter and a libero.
Outside Hitters:
Payton Caffrey, West Virginia
Averaged 5.08 kills per set and 3.25 digs per set while hitting .294 en route to the tournament semifinals; put up 17 kills, 17 digs, while hitting .387 vs. UMES; registered 12 kills, eight digs, two blocks and an ace, while hitting .267 vs. Temple; notched 19 kills, five digs, one block, three aces while hitting .250 vs. Syracuse; posted 13 kills, nine digs and a block, while hitting .300 at Ole Miss.
Emily Stroup, Ole Miss
Averaged 4.75 kills per set, while hitting .322 and adding 1.88 digs for the tournament; Chalked up seven kills, six digs and two blocks vs. Stephen F. Austin; Downed 18 kills, hit .429 and added six digs and six blocks vs. Arkansas State; posted 15 kills, hit .433 and added five digs and an ace vs. Georgia; notched 19 kills, hit .286 and added two digs, one block vs. West Virginia in semis; posted 17 kills, hitting .353 and adding 11 digs in the championship match; NIVC Tournament MVP

Averaged 3.58 kills per set as team posted Sacramento State (3-0) and Pacific (3-2), fell to Texas Tech (3-1) en route to the NIVC quarterfinals; led team with 14 kills, eight digs, two blocks and an ace vs. Sac State; notched 16 kills and three aces vs. Pacific; posted team-high 13 kills vs. Texas Tech; surpassed 1,000 kill mark vs. Pacific; team tied school record for wins (24)

Anna Walsh, TCU – Jr., MB
Averaged 4.00 kills and 1.60 blocks per set, while hitting .309 on the tournament and leading the Horned Frogs to the semifinals; posted 12 kills, 5 blocks, hit .231 vs. Wyoming; notched 25 kills, 7 blocks, 2 digs, hit .442 vs. North Texas; downed 10 kills and added seven blocks, while hitting .350 vs. Green Bay; Added 13 kills, five blocks, two digs, while hitting .176 vs. Texas Tech; NIVC All-Tournament team
Holly Milam, North Texas
Led team with 3.33 kills, 2.44 digs and 0.67 blocks per set in two NIVC matches … Posted a team-high 16 kills, six digs and five blocks while hitting at a .300 clip against Oral Roberts…Followed it up with 14 kills, 16 digs, two assists and an ace against TCU.

Missy Owens, Texas Tech
Averaged 11.29 assists, 2.70 digs, 1.12 kills and 0.71 blocks per set.
