A Snapshot: 1,000 Kills, 1000 Digs, 500 Blocks – Who’s In, Who’s Close

At the end of the 2017 season, 149 current players had reached the 1,000 kill milestone in their careers, 234 had surpassed the 1,000-dig plateau and just 17 boasted 500 blocks.

As 2018 approaches, here is a look at the both the active career leaders and those set to join the 1,000 kill club, 1,000 dig club and 500 block club in the coming weeks.

Blocks

Just one returning player, Illinois’ Ali Bastianelli has 500 blocks to her credit. Bastianelli was one of just 17 players to boast 500 or more blocks through the 2017 season. The middle blocker posted her 500th stuff on Oct. 25, 2017 at Minnesota, and ended the season with 567. She was the only junior to reach the milestone.
