Antoine Brizard Joins Warsaw Team with Antiga and Zagumny for 2017

22-year old French setter Antoine Brizard has signed with the Warsaw University of Technology team for the upcoming 2017 season.

As the first signed player of the newly-formed Warsaw team, Brizard has been declared the captain of the squad. The team has also announced the hiring of its first manager Pawel Zagumny and head coach Stephane Antiga.

Brizard has been playing professionally in France for 3 years now, first with club team Paris Volley University Club and in the last two seasons with club Toulouse Volleyball Team. For this current season, Brizard has played in all 22 games and has a career-high total of 22 service aces for the season.

Antiga is a former Olympic Games Athens 2004 participant, 5 time Polish Champion (2008-2011 and 2014), double Spanish Champion, former head coach of Canada’s men’s national volleyball team and former coach of Polish club AZS Politechnika Warszawska.

Zagumny is also a former Olympic participant (Atlanta 1996, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, and London 2012), gold medal winner of the 2012 World League, and silver medalist from 2006 World Championship and the 2011 World Cup.

Toulouse Volleyball has just defeated Tours in 3 games to 2 on April 7, 2017 and is scheduled to play Nice VB on Friday April 21, 2017.
