USAV HOSTS THIRD RED-BLUE SCRIMMAGE OF SUMMER

The USAV women’s national team hosted its third Red-Blue scrimmage on May 26 in Orange, California at Santiago Canyon College. The scrimmage consisted of four sets that were all played to 25 points. Players were switching back-and-forth between teams, with the Red team winning four of the sets, 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23.

Both teams were led by Michelle Bartsch, who finished with nine kills, four blocks, and one service ace. Madi Kingdon followed her with 12 kills on a .333 hitting percentage, while Annie Drews tallied 10 kills and one block. Tori Dixon added eight kills and one block.

Megan Courtney added 10 points via nine kills and one service ace. Stephanie Niemer collected nine kills with a .600 hitting percentage. Liz McMahon and Sonja Newcombe each finished with eight points, while Aiyana Whitney and Lauren Gibbemeyer had seven points, respectively.

Sarah Wilhite finished with six points, and twin-sisters Kadie Rolfzen and Amber Rolfzen each had six points.
