Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani came off the bench to provide the spark for sixth-ranked Texas Longhorns as they rallied from a two sets to one deficit to defeat #11 Utah. Set scores were 25-19, 16-25, 24-26, 25-21, 16-14. Bedart-Ghani, who subbed in for a struggling Lexi Sun, fired 12 kills on 26 errorless swings (.462) including the final three kills of the match for the Longhorns. Chiaka Ogbogu collected 16 kills (.433) and four blocks to become the all-time blocking leader in the history of Texas volleyball.

Micaya White posted a double-double with 13 kills and 20 digs while freshman setter Ashley Shook handed out 50 assists. Cat McCoy led the defense with 22 digs.

The Utes led the match in kills 66-59, aces 8-6, assists 62-55, and digs 73-68. Texas led in blocks 8-7 while holding a .284 to .224 hitting percentage advantage.

Adora Anae led Utah with 25 kills and three aces while Brianna Doehrmann collected 30 digs. The loss ended a strong year for the Utes who previously had defeated Cleveland State and Purdue in the first two rounds of the tournament. However, Utah has still failed to advance past the regional semifinal round in program history.

The Longhorns will face the third seeded Stanford Cardinal who defeated Wisconsin in four sets. Texas has now made the regional finals for 12 straight seasons.
