Brazil Brings In Six Women’s Paris To Vienna Beach World Championships

There will be six Brazilian pairs at the 2017 Vienna Beach World Championships, all of which have the capabilities to win matches.

  • Maria Antonelli/Carolina Solberg Salgado
  • Agatha Bednarczuk/Eduarda ‘Duda’ Santos Lisboa
  • Larissa Franca/Talita Antunes
  • Elize Maia/Taiana Lima
  • Barbara Seixas/Fernanda Alves

Franca/Antunes top the World Rankings going into the World Championships. So far this season, the duo has won three World Tour events starting with Fort Lauderdale that began the 2017 season. From there they won Moscow and them most recently they took Olsztyn. With the win in Olsztyn, Franca/Antunes have the momentum going into the World Championships.

Bednarczuk/Santos have also had a great year on the tour, coming in second behind Franca/Antunes at the Fort Lauderdale tournament to take second. The pair won their first World Tour event together at the Rio de Janeiro event in Brazil.

At the last edition of the World Championships Seixas took the title with former partner Bednarczuk. They now each have new partners following the 2015 edition in the Netherlands.
