Here are a few of the postmatch reactions.
Dominican Republic coach Marcos Kwiek: “I’m very happy with this victory and most of all I’m very happy with the way my team played today. It was very important for us to gain the points. Our serves and defense system were very good today, so I’m just happy about the way the team performed today.”
Thailand captain Pleumjit Thinkaow: “Congratulations to the Dominican Republic on their victory. They are a strong team and today they played extremely well. Their blocking and defense worked very well. We tried to play in different styles and in some moments we had chances but we didn’t take our opportunities. We committed so many easy mistakes.”
