Germany’s Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst have won a grand slam of sorts, winning their 4th massive title of the year:

  • Rio 2016 Olympic champions.
  • 2016 European champions
  • 2016 German champions
  • 2016 SWATCH FIVB World Tour Finals

This completes a huge comeback for the Olympic Champs, who started the tournament with a pair of losses in pool play and had to fight their way back through the round of 16 to eventually win the title.

For Nadine Zumkehr, this will be the last match of her career, having announced her retirement at the end of this season.
