Symone Abbott and Amber Rolfzen Sign in France

Symone Abbott and Amber Rolfzen have signed with Saint-Raphaël Var Volley-Ball for the 2018-2019 season. After graduating last year, Abbott joined the Italian A1 League during the second half of the season. She played for Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena who finished sixth in Italy’s top-flight Serie A.

Amber Rolfzen played in France last year with Beziers Angels alongside Mari Hole and Krystal Rivers and won the French title. Rolfzen was named an AVCA All American twice during her career at Nebraska and won a national championship in 2015. The two time Gatorade Nebraska High School Volleyball Player of the Year has also played for the USA, winning the 2017 Pan American Cup gold medal.

Saint-Raphaël Var Volley-Ball has won multiple French Ligue A championships with the most recent coming in 2016, and earned a spot in Champions League play. This past year, they were the runners-up in the French Championship – a league that historically has earned only earned 1 bid for Europe but could receive a 2nd this year.
