Claes/Hochevar Make Xiamen Semis in Debut, All-Russian Men’s Final Set

Three American women’s pair made the Xiamen quarterfinals, but only No. 23 seed Kelly Claes/Brittany Hochevar, who are playing in their first tournament together, remained standing as the Final Four was set. On the men’s side, Russians Viacheslav Krasilnikov/Nikita Liamin will face countryen Oleg Stoyanovskiy/Igor Velichko for the gold Sunday morning.

Americans Larsen/Stockman, Claes/Hochevar Make Xiamen Main Draw

New American duos Kelley Larsen/Emily Stockman and Kelly Claes/Brittany Hochevar are both on to the main draw after recording two wins in women’s qualifying at the Xiamen Four Star. Ryan Doherty/William Allen were among eight teams who made it through on the men’s side.

Two American Men’s Pairs Win On Day 1 of Xiamen Qualifying

The Xiamen Four-Star kicked off with 14 men’s matches and four women’s matches in the first qualifying round. Three men’s matches went to tiebreak, while Americans Doherty/Allen and Kolinski/Evans moved on to Thursday’s second round.
