It was a history making night for the No. 14 seed Marquette University volleyball team as the Golden Eagles swept Cincinnati (25-19, 25-21, 25-16) to reach the round of 16 in the 2018 NCAA Championship for the first time in program history.
For a fifth-straight year, the No. 1 seed Creighton Bluejays have won the BIG EAST Volleyball Championship, posting an exciting four-set victory over No. 2 seed Marquette.
Marquette defeated St. John’s 3-1 to advance to its second straight Big East Tournament final, while Creighton swept Villanova to reach its seventh straight conference tournament title match.
