2017 FIVB VOLLEYBALL MEN’S CLUB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Reigning champions Sada Cruzeiro will open up their 2017 FIVB Men’s Club World Championship Run with Italy’s Cucine Lube Civitanova in Pool A. The tournament features three days of pool play with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the semifinals and finals.

Sada Cruzeiro claimed the 2017 South American Championships and are the two-time defending champions. They have a total of three gold medals in the competition (2013, 2015 and 2016) and are after their third straight and fourth overall. They will be led by Cuban standouts Yoandry Leal and Robertlandy Simon.

Cucine Lube Civitanova was the 2017 National Champion from the top two countries in the FIVB World Rankings as of December 31, 2016, from a not yet qualified country. The reigning Italian champions will take part in the tournament for the first time ever. They will be led by Team USA’s standouts Micah Christenson and Taylor Sander.
