After spending a single season with Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio, Team USA’s Michelle Bartsch-Hackley will continue her professional career with perennial Italian Serie A contender Igor Volley Novara, which finished second in the 2017-18 playoffs.

Commenting on the move to VolleyMob, the 6-3 (191 cm) outside attacker said, “I’m super excited for the new journey and can’t wait to join Novara. My new team has a lot of great players! I’m really excited to play in Champions League again and be at the highest level.”

Also making the move from Busto to Novara will be middle blocker Federica Stufi, about whom Bartsch-Hackley commented: “She’s awesome and will be a friendly face in the gym.  Everyone else will be new teammates. I’ll miss all my other teammates at Busto and the feeling we had together on the court. We fought really hard for every point, even if we were down.”

Currently, the former first-team All-American (Illinois ’12) is competing for her home country in the Volleyball Nations League, where Team USA is 4-1, having most recently swept the previously unbeaten Dutch side. In USA’s first match of VNL Week 2 action against Japan, Bartsch-Hackley led all scorers with 21 points.
