Serbia has a chance to clinch a spot in the final six if they can collect three points in the match against Argentina. That means they’ll need to win in three or four sets in order to punch their ticket to Brazil next week.
Argentina has managed just one win in six tries, mustering up just four total points throw six matches. They’ll need to gather some points – even if it means five-set losses – in order to avoid relegation.
Serbia came into the day ranked second in the Group 1 table with 15 points off five wins to just one loss. The defending World League champions will look for a win to make sure they get a shot at another.
These two sides met earlier in the tournament when Serbia defeated Argentina in three sets. This time though, Argentina plays host to the match in hopes of moving out of their current spot of last in the 12 team group.
