In a stacked qualifying pool, only four teams per gender advanced through Thursday’s matches into the main draw. Seeds 2, 3, 5 and 9 made it through on the women’s side, while No. 1 qualifier Melissa Humana-Paredes/Sarah Pavan were knocked out. Sicoli Names Jon Daze as Pepperdine Beach Assistant Coach
Head Coach Marcio Sicoli added a familiar face to the coaching staff for the 2018-19 campaign, hiring former volunteer assistant Jon Dazé as Assistant Coach. Dazé was a member of the coaching staff that led the Pepperdine beach volleyball program to its second AVCA National Championship crown in 2014.
