Germany Hands Poland First VNL Loss in 4, China Upsets France in 5

Germany led Poland in all facets of the game and overcame a 21 point effort by Michal Kubiak for a four-set victory on Sunday, handing Poland its first VNL loss. Chuan Jiang’s efforts were finally rewarded as he poured in 30 points for No. 20 China in a five-set win over No. 10 France.

Poland Stays Atop #VNL Standings with Sweep; France Downs Germany 3-0

China had the top scorer in the match, but Poland owned nearly every other statistical category, rolling to an easy sweep and a 5-0 record atop the Volleyball Nations League standings. Thibault Rossard and Barthelemy Chinenyeze took their turn in the spotlight as the top scorers for France as the team swept past Germany in all phases of the game.
