Top Four Seeds Advance to CCSA Semifinals

The top four seeds in the championship advanced to Sunday’s semifinal round as No. 1 Florida State and No. 2 South Carolina each topped their groups and LSU and FIU earned runner-up spots.

FSU’s Jerger Named CCSA Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Ten student-athletes were named to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team on Wednesday.
UAB, Florida International and South Carolina each notched two selections, while Florida State’s Macy Jerger was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second straight year.

Stanford Edged Cal; Hawaii, LBSU, FSU, Georgia State Go 2-0 Sunday

No. 13 California was a part of both of the Top 20 upsets in Sunday’s beach action. The Bears first edged out No. 4 USC 3-2, before falling to No. 14 Stanford by the same score later in the day at the Pac-12 North Invitational. The Cardinal wrapped up the day with a 5-0 win over Washington.

Paranagua Posts 100th Win for FSU; TCU Upsets #11 Georgia State Beach

In 11 Top 20 matches on Friday, only TCU was able to upset the rankings table, knocking off No. 11 Georgia State in a 4-1 effort at the Seminole Beach Battle. FSU’s Tory Paranagua notched her 100th career victory, moving into fifth all-time.
