Toulouse has announced in its official Facebook page that it has signed Belgian national teamerBram Van Des Dries. This will be his second stint with the team, as he spent the 2016-2017 season with the squad. Van Des Dries will be replacingAndres Villena, who went down with a leg injury that will leave him out of action for a least four more weeks.
According to the club, Van Des Dries had just finished his obligations with South Korean Club Ansan OK Savings Bank, and despite having received financial proposals from other clubs, he did not hesitate to join Toulouse due to his many good memories with the club.
Van Des Dries is 28 years old and 6’10” in height, truly a giant at the opposite hitter position. With the Belgian national team, he won the 2013 European League, and was awared the competition’s MVP award. With Toulouse’s jersey, he was France’s vice-champions in 2016-2017.
