Set 1: The Buckeyes finished the opening frame on a flurry, landing 12 of the final 13 points to close out a 25-13 winner. A kill from Lewis’ Ryan Coenen pulled the Flyers to within one tally at 13-12 before Ohio State ripped off five straight, surrendered a lone point, and then again got hot with seven more in a row as freshman Dejon Clark manned an extended stay at the service stripe.

Set 2: Neither side could muster an advantage greater than two points until a 4-0 Flyer run late in the set ultimately pulled Lewis ahead 21-17. That edge would increase to five points by set’s end in a 25-20 equalizer for the Flyers heading to intermission.

Set 3: Johnson and Szerszen each contributed a half dozen kills on seven errorless attempts as the Buckeyes left little doubt in the third.
