After taking a week’s break, the AVCA released its Week 15-16 Coaches’ Poll, the final listing before the NCAA Tournament begins.

After securing the Big West title and the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament bracket, Long Beach State was voted No. 1 for the 14th straight week.

MPSF champion BYU jumped from No. 4 to No. 2 with victories over USC and then No. 2 UCLA en route to the title.

The Bruins fell one spot to No. 3.

Meanwhile, Hawaii, which finished as the runner-up in the Big West Tournament but was left out of the NCAA Tournament field, climbed two positions to No. 4.

UC Irvine, one of two at-large selections to NCAAs, rounds out the top five, dropping two spots from No. 3.

Pepperdine was the biggest mover of the week, falling three spots from five to eight after falling in the MPSF quarterfinals on April 14.

Ohio State and Loyola Chicago, which finished 1-2 in the MIVA Conference, benefitted from the tumble, moving into 7th and 8th respectively.
